The Intermediate Espresso Lab builds upon the Beginner Espresso Lab to further develop espresso skills.
The Intermediate Espresso Lab builds upon the Beginner Espresso Lab to further develop espresso skills. Students develop their palates through tasting and evaluating different espresso blends, experiment with various dosing and distribution techniques, and analyze drink building consistency and efficiency. The lab also covers equipment troubleshooting and adjustment, as well as basic maintenance. Attending the Beginner Espresso Lab and some espresso bar experience is a prerequisite for this lab. This lab is required for Counter Culture Coffee Barista Certification.

Who should take this lab: Baristas with some practical experience, coffee shop managers and owners, espresso equipment owners, and advanced home enthusiasts.
