The Intermediate Espresso Lab builds upon the Beginner Espresso Lab to further develop espresso skills.
This NEWLY UPDATED Intermediate Espresso lab builds upon knowledge gained in the prerequisite Beginner Espresso Lab. Through a series of hands-on exercises, students challenge boundaries of espresso coffee preparation with an emphasis on exploration, quality, and coffee-waste management. Guided tastings for palate development and critical analysis comprise much of this half-day lab; students should come prepared to taste multiple espresso coffees. This lab is required for Counter Culture Coffee Barista Certification.

Who should take this lab: Baristas with some practical experience, coffee shop managers and owners, espresso equipment owners, and advanced home enthusiasts.

Prerequisites: Beginner Espresso Lab and professional barista experience.
