Origins, History and Trade is a day-long seminar outlining the history of the coffee trade, its specialized terminology, and the differences among coffees worldwide. A lecture is accompanied by cupping flights that illustrate the broad diversity of coffees in the world. Students will learn about coffee agronomy, processing, production techniques, and regional traditions. Taking a broad look at the global coffee trade, this class is essential for anyone who seeks to be a coffee expert, and is required for Counter Culture Coffee Steward Certification.
