SERBC in Atlanta This Weekend
11-29-12
The World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup help to promote excellence in coffee by bringing together coffee fans and professionals for annual championship events that culminate local and regional events around the globe. Regional U.S. events start with the Southeast Regional Barista Competition & Brewers Cup (SERBC) – this weekend in Atlanta at Ponce City Market – and include both the espresso-based barista competition, as well as the Brewers Cup, which focuses on handcrafted brewing methods.
In addition to some very talented and dedicated folks from Counter Culture, baristas from a couple of our favorite shops are competing this year. Check the list below for competitors in the SERBC, watch live web streaming if you're not at the event, and cheer on your favorites.
The following competitors will be using Counter Culture Coffee at the SERBC, November 30-December 2. Wish them luck!
Counter Culture Coffee: Lem Butler (espresso), Jonathan Bonchak and Bryan Duggan (brewers)
Jubala Village Coffee, Raleigh: Daniel Moore and Kyle Ramage (espresso), Andrew Cash (brewers)
Peregrine Espresso, Washington, DC: Travis Beckett and Matthew Bryce (espresso), Judith Mandel (brewers)
