Vision

At Counter Culture Coffee, our commitments to quality, sustainability, and education guide every decision we make. Every facet of our business is based on fair, sustainable, and transparent relationships made possible by ground-level collaboration at every stage of the coffee chain. We cherish our relationships with our customers, professional peers, and partners at origin—all part of an interconnected web of co-producers working in concert to create the best coffees imaginable.

Our Coffee

Our traditional, hand-crafted coffees are the direct result of our close relationships with artisan farmers, and we spend an unprecedented amount of time at origin working side by side with them as partners. We proudly identify each, intensely delicious coffee with the farm or co-op’s real name, never obscuring the origin of coffee with marketing hype. We’re fanatics for traceability and transparency; and we measure our ultimate success by the astounding flavor of great coffees in the cup. Click here for a summary of recent media coverage recognizing the quality of our work.

Our state of the art regional training centers, expert consulting, and industry-leading coffee education courses are designed to empower coffee professionals with the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to operate a successful and sustainable retail coffee business. As an additional benefit of joining our coffee community, each of our retail partners works directly with a full-time, regional customer relations representative to continually develop and fine-tune their coffee programs.

Roasting

Our roasting philosophy is centered on the simple principle that the spectacular coffees cultivated by our partners at origin deserve the utmost respect while under our care. Driven by a fanatical pursuit of coffee perfection, we lovingly roast each single-origin coffee in a separate, small batch to bring out each bean's magnificent flavors and aromas. We roast and ship coffee to order every day, Monday through Friday, and we offer specialized retail solutions for coffee shops, grocery stores, specialty markets, and restaurants.

Counter Culture Coffee is committed to creating cutting edge coffee people—both within our own company and throughout our network of coffee partners.
