Professional Coffee Education Series: Producer Event

You are invited to participate in a workshop hosted by Counter Culture Coffee on the challenges of organic coffee production and quality experimentation in Central America. This event will take place on July 8th and 9th in the city of Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras, at the offices of Beneficio Santa Rosa.
The price per participant is $250 and for representatives of farms or grower associations working with Counter Culture Coffee, the discounted price is $100. The total cost includes one night’s lodging in Santa Rosa de Copán, all food and transportation during the workshop, course materials and two days of instruction and learning.
Our company has the good fortune to buy coffee and have strong personal relationships with the most dedicated and innovative coffee producers in the world. For years, we, the coffee buyers at Counter Culture, have seen good agricultural practices and experiments on different farms that we want to share with all of our producer partners. As the majority of these innovative and successful farmers live in Central America, we decided that it was high time to bring a select group of these growers together to share their ideas and experiences.

This two-day event will be comprised of presentations and discussions on topics including soil fertility, compost production, variety separation, post-harvest processing and trends in the consumer market. Counter Culture Coffee’s Kim Elena Bullock and Timothy Hill will facilitate the conversations, activities and cuppings of at the event, but the content of the discussions will be primarily directed by the producers in attendance. We believe that this seminar is a unique opportunity for participants to learn from and establish connections with a community of talented producers in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, and we hope to count you among them.
Participation is by invitation only and we request that invitees respond to reserve your space at the event before Thursday, June 23rd. We will send a detailed itinerary of the event soon and until then, please feel free to email Kim Elena Bullock with any questions you have. We thank you for your commitment and we hope to see you in Santa Rosa de Copán!
