Thanks to everyone who took the Save our Soil Pledge! You commitment to organic agriculture added $1 to the budget of the upcoming organic composting workshop Counter Culture is sponsoring for our cooperative partners in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia.

 

The event will be funded by the $1-per-pound donation from the sales of our 2012 Holiday Blend and will take place in March 2013. The workshop for agronomists, technicians, washing station managers, and growers from Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmer Cooperative Union – and other cooperatives in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia – on organic compost and good agricultural practices, as well as supporting a pilot worm compost project in one of the member communities that can be replicated in others.
