From computer geek to coffee nerd, complexity has always captivated Emily's attention. She got her first taste of the specialty coffee world while working at Land of a Thousand Hills coffee house in 2008. By 2010, she stopped teetering between IT and coffee and joined the coffee team of Empire State South. Here, she was encouraged to develop the coffee program to match each specialty of the restaurant. Through these endeavors, in 2012, Emily was recognized by Star Chefs as the Rising Star Barista of Atlanta. Shortly thereafter, Emily joined the Counter Culture Atlanta team where she now serves as the customer representative of the Atlanta region.
Emily and her fellow coffee-driver husband, Matthew of Condesa Coffee live in Grant Park where they happily plan to use coffee to take over the world.
