Dolok Sanggul Holiday Blend 2008

During the 2008 holiday season, Counter Culture Coffee sold 6,711 pounds of Dolok Sanggul Vienna Melange through our retail partners and web site, which means that we will donate $6,711.00 to the Lintong Coffee School in Lintong Nihuta, Sumatra!
We surpassed Holiday Blend 2007's total poundage sold by about 500 pounds, which is something that we all feel really proud of, especially in a "down" economy! We would like to express sincere thanks to ALL of you who bought this coffee! And, for Counter Culture Coffee employees: from the label design to the endless promotion and sampling to the roasting, bagging, and shipping of the coffee, Counter Culture's collective enthusiasm, dedication, and drive helped to make this amazing thing happen. And many , many thanks to the coffee drinkers who supported this endeavor with their buying choices. It's this kind of teamwork that makes all of our coffee-grower-support projects at origin possible. Thank you, and please give yourselves a hand!

We will keep you all posted as we get information and photographs from Volkopi in Sumatra about the uses for this donation money. This is a great way to start the year and I look forward to great things to come in 2009.
