Allen came to Counter Culture after working for some of the best coffee roasters in the country, including Gimme, Stumptown, and Ritual.

Allen lives in Oakland, California, with his fiancé Taylor, and three socially awkward pets— one year-old puppy Darcy, and two cats Charles and Betty. When he's not working, he loves to go on bike rides through the mountains of the Bay Area. He reads a lot (He was an English major) and watches every movie he can. During baseball season he watches the Dodgers every opportunity he gets no matter how much his Taylor would prefer he changed the channel.
