Ryan got his start with the coffee profession in 2002 as a barista at Hi Hat Coffee in Kansas City. A brief flirtation with a career in law did not deter him from following his passion and sticking with specialty coffee. Over the last decade Ryan has competed in barista competitions, opened and managed a cafe in Boston, purchased and roasted green coffee, and trained countless baristas. As a member of the customer support team in New York City, Ryan couldn't feel more at home.

A new New Yorker, Ryan can be found exploring Bushwick with his wife Jeshurun, cruising up the Hudson on a bike, or chowing down on the most local/seasonal/artisanal [fill in the blank] the city has to offer.
