Another graduate of the Counter Culture Origin Field Lab in Nicaragua, Asheville-are technician Scott Satterwhite started out as a barista at Raleigh's Morning Times in 2006, where the coffee bug (not to be confused with broca) first bit him. In addition to teaching labs and keeping machines running all over the Asheville region, he is also on CCC's Counter Intelligence Committee, and is helping to grow and develop the company's already impressive educational program.

When not hard at work with espresso machines and teaching beginner baristas, you can track down Scott in the Land of the Blue Sky, where he might be found writing country and blues tunes, cheering for the Saints, or hanging out with his roommates—two of Scott's best friends, and a dog named Hops—in their century-old home.
