New York tech genius Tommy Gallagher has been in specialty coffee for six years, and has been a member of the Counter Culture technical services department for three. A master teacher, his equipment workshops are always a highlight of the annual Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Coffee Conference (MANE), and he has his SCAA IDP certification, and is an accomplished CCC Counter Intelligence instructor.

But Tommy isn’t just a whiz with espresso machines: He’s also busy building a bike for his lady friend, Jessica, and in between service calls and teaching labs he manages to fit in a little tinkering on a mid-century lamp he’s refurbishing. And, in those rare moment when he’s not fixing or building something, he tries to catch up on comics (both reading and making). He and Jessica live in Brooklyn with Fiona the Jack Russell terrier and two cats named Gooey and Flo-Jo.
