  5. Bonta – 12 oz Bag

    Bonta – 12 oz Bag

This coffee is the result of the hard work of about two dozen small- and medium-sized family farms growing mainly Bourbon- and Typica-variety coffee in the small village of Bonta at approximately 1,700 meters. Small lots from these farms are processed and kept separate for us by the Colbran family—our long time partners in Papua New Guinea—to create a coffee that is savory, softly citric, and delicately tea-like.

  6. Kapchorwa, Uganda

    Chema – 12 oz Bag

Uganda is not a country well known for specialty coffee. Farmers in the lush volcanic hills of Mount Elgon grow excellent SL-14 and SL-28 varieties at some of Africa's highest elevations, but, for years, poor processing has held them back. The Chema washing station is pioneering processing improvements at every step to bring us a refined coffee with savory notes of stone fruit and cocoa.

  10. Sea Change – 12 oz box

Sea Change – 12 oz box

    Limited-Release
Sea Change is a tribute to the highest-quality coffee harvests we've ever seen from the beautiful island of Papua New Guinea. The huge quality improvement can be credited to the work of the Colbran family, which put into place dozens of new standards—in particular, drying practices similar to those in East Africa. These practices are crucial to preserving freshness and flavor as the coffee makes its long journey across the ocean to us. No doubt, these new standards are responsible for the pristine flavors of molasses, nectarine, and spice.
