    Kamavindi – 12 oz box

    Single-Variety Lot • Limited Release
"Inspired" and "passionate" barely begin to describe the Mbature family, the owners of Kamavindi. The operators of this third-generation family farm—which is nestled on the slopes of majestic Mount Kenya—selected only their SL-28 variety coffee for this exclusive lot. Attention to every detail of production by the Mbature family helped to fully deliver on the potential of this acclaimed coffee variety, offering bright, sweet, and savory flavors of blackberry, currant, and citrus fruit.

  8. Bonta – 12 oz Bag

    Bonta – 12 oz Bag

This coffee is the result of the hard work of about two dozen small- and medium-sized family farms growing mainly Bourbon- and Typica-variety coffee in the small village of Bonta at approximately 1,700 meters. Small lots from these farms are processed and kept separate for us by the Colbran family—our long time partners in Papua New Guinea—to create a coffee that is savory, softly citric, and delicately tea-like.

  9. Sea Change – 12 oz box

Sea Change – 12 oz box

    Limited-Release
Sea Change is a tribute to the highest-quality coffee harvests we've ever seen from the beautiful island of Papua New Guinea. The huge quality improvement can be credited to the work of the Colbran family, which put into place dozens of new standards—in particular, drying practices similar to those in East Africa. These practices are crucial to preserving freshness and flavor as the coffee makes its long journey across the ocean to us. No doubt, these new standards are responsible for the pristine flavors of molasses, nectarine, and spice.

    Masira – 12 oz Bag

Recognizing Uganda’s incredible potential for quality, we worked with our partners at the Chema washing station to create some unique coffees. This lot was specially selected from the highest farms in the region and processed using underwater fermentation—in place of their usual dry-fermentation method—to create a momentous coffee with bright notes of black cherry and cola with a creamy body.

  11. Decaf Valle del Santuario

Decaf Las Redes de Cenfrocafe – 12 oz bag

The term Las Redes is Spanish for "the networks," and each group of farmers the Cenfrocafe Cooperative works with in Northern Peru has a different network name based on the micro-regions their coffees come from. This particular lot is a blend of a few micro-regions that we decaffeinated with an organic water process—leaving intact buttery notes of cocoa powder, walnut, and plum.

Slow Motion / Decaf – 12 oz bag

  14. Mpemba – Single-Origin Coffee from Burundi

    Mpemba - 12 oz bag

Mpemba's coffee is simply impressive. From the cooperative's inception a few years ago to it’s repeated recognition for quality, it may be best to let the coffee from this small cooperative in northern Burundi speak for itself. Notes of bright green apple and stone fruit give way to a light floral note that is crisp and complex.

  15. Kapchorwa, Uganda

    Chema – 12 oz Bag

Uganda is not a country well known for specialty coffee. Farmers in the lush volcanic hills of Mount Elgon grow excellent SL-14 and SL-28 varieties at some of Africa's highest elevations, but, for years, poor processing has held them back. The Chema washing station is pioneering processing improvements at every step to bring us a refined coffee with savory notes of stone fruit and cocoa.

Big Trouble – 12 oz bag

Big Trouble offers nutty, caramel flavors people know and love, which may seem easy—and our goal is to make it easy to enjoy in any brewer—but it's actually one of the most challenging for us, because clean, sweet, low-acidity coffees from small-scale farms can be elusive.
