  1. Valle del Santuario – Organic Coffee from Peru

Valle del Santuario – 12 oz bag

Valle del Santuario comes from five small communities that are part of an exclusive Counter Culture project in northern Peru. Now in our eighth year, these communities have firmly established themselves as one of our favorites to work with—making beautiful coffees with balanced notes of chocolate, plum, spice, and vanilla with a smooth, round body. 2. Underdog – Limited-Release Blend

    Underdog – 12 oz box

    Limited-Release Blend
When sourcing the best quality coffees possible, it is simpler to ignore coffee from the majority of producing countries and to focus, instead, on the places that are easy to work in and are already ahead of the curve. That isn't our style, though. Underdog is made of coffees from—and dedicated to—places that are generally overlooked for top-quality coffee. Places that, this year, produced some of our best offerings! Notes of sweet pastry, green apple, and dried fruit. Learn more

  3. Thiriku – Single-Origin Coffee from Nyeri, Kenya

    Thiriku – 12 oz bag

In spite of political and logistical issues in sourcing coffees from Nyeri County in Kenya this year, we are proud to offer for our sixth straight year—this stellar coffee from the Thriku Cooperative. Notes of red currant, hibiscus, and clove. Learn more

  4. Tairora – 12 oz bag

    Tairora – 12 oz bag

This coffee challenges the flavors thought possible from this unique, complex island. The Colbran family works together with surrounding neighbors to produce nuanced coffees with notes of ginger snap, stone fruit, and mild floral tones. Learn more

  5. Slow Motion / Decaf – 12 oz bag

Slow Motion / Decaf – 12 oz bag

We pay extra attention to decaf because we know people love it solely for its flavor. For Slow Motion, we start with great coffee—from the same farmers we work with for all of our coffees—and decaffeinate it in small batches using chemical-free water processing. Learn more

  6. Rosales – Single-Origin Coffee from Colombia

    Rosales - 12 oz Bag

"Go big or go home" is a fitting mantra for our sudden influx of coffees from Nariño, Colombia. This year, not only did we see huge potential with small, independent producers, we also started working with Cafes Especiales—the promising cooperative based in the towns of Buesaco and Tablón de Gómez that produced this coffee. Notes of milk chocolate, nut, and black cherry. Learn more

  7. Remera – Single-Origin Coffee from Rwanda

    Remera – 12 oz bag

We have worked with the family that owns the Remera washing station for a number of years. In that time, we have seen them innovate countless times. From planting dozens of coffee varieties to separating lots from small communities, each year they impress us. It is no wonder that their coffee is delicious—deeply sweet and beaming with notes of stone fruit and citrus. Learn more

  8. Nelson Melo – Single-Farmer Lot from La Golondrina

Nelson Melo – 12 oz box

    Single-Farmer Lot
We have very much wanted to buy the coffee of the irrepressible Nelson Melo since we started working with Orgánica to source La Golondrina in 2007. Nelson has performed many functions within Orgánica over the years and has always been a spirited spokesperson for the small farmers of the group. He also produces Orgánica's best coffee. Notes of sweet citrus and raw sugar with sparkling clarity. Learn more

  9. Mpemba – Single-Origin Coffee from Burundi

    Mpemba - 12 oz bag

Mpemba's coffee is simply impressive: From the cooperative's inception a few years ago to its repeated recognition as one of the best in country, it may be best to let the coffee speak for itself. Notes of citrus and dried fruit are balanced by impeccable sweetness. Learn more
    $15.75
  10. Lacau – Single-Origin Coffee from East Timor

    Lacau – 12 oz Bag

Despite having not purchased coffee from the tiny nation of East Timor in the past eight years, two coffees this year changed our minds about the potential there. One of those coffees is from the community of Lacau. With some of the best altitude on the island and a predominance of Typica in the area, this lot has a clarity we have never seen in a coffee from East Timor. Look for notes of molasses, apple, and spice.
