  1. Baroida - 12 oz bag

    Baroida - 12 oz bag

Beautiful, unique, and challenging don't begin to tell the complex story of Papua New Guinea. For three generations in the country's Eastern Highlands, the Colbran family has been producing what we consider to be the best coffee in the Pacific through impeccable management and attention to detail. Spicy and savory with notes of molasses. Learn more
  2. Idido - 12 oz bag

    Idido - 12 oz bag

This first lot from the Idido cooperative in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, represents a select group of 200 of the most dedicated farmers in the co-op. These farmers turn in their best cherries at the peak of harvest for this washed, special preparation coffee. Look for floral, melon, and citrus notes. Learn more

  3. Haru - 12 oz bag

    Haru - 12 oz bag

Downtown Yirgacheffe sits in a small valley. Up at almost the peaks on either side are the communities and cooperatives of Idido and Haru. We have been buying coffee from both of these places for years, and, even though geographically they're close, they have distinct and impressive profiles. This lot was produced exclusively for us by the Haru cooperative and is distinctly tea-like—brimming with elegant floral notes and lemongrass. Learn more
  4. Olke Birre – Single-Farmer Lot from Haru, Ethiopia

Olke Birre – 12 oz Box

    Haru Single-Farmer Lot
Down the road from the Haru Cooperative in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, Olke Birre owns and manages about 12-hectares of land. Olke was one of the first farmers in all of Yirgacheffe to build his own mini-washing station, which gave him the ability to completely control the processing of his coffee. With this control—and his dedication to producing the best coffee possible—Olke and his family have created a coffee that is simply elegant. Look for clear flavors of citrus, peach, and jasmine. 5. Miju Sali – Natural Sundried – 12 oz box

Miju Sali – Natural Sundried – 12 oz box

    Single-Farmer Lot
A few years ago, we helped start a project in the community of Biloya to work with individual farmers to produce specially-prepared natural sundried coffees. Miju Sali and his family were among the first in the area to be a part of the project. Miju and his family improved almost every aspect of their coffee processing this year and produced a beautiful coffee with notes of blueberry and blackberry, accentuated by a nice bittersweet chocolate aftertaste. 6. Idido Natural Sundried - 12 oz Bag

Idido Natural Sundried - 12 oz Bag

A decade ago, an experimental natural-processed coffee from the area surrounding the Idido village changed what we—and much of the coffee industry—have come to expect from Yirgacheffe and natural coffees in general. Ripe cherry selection, a focus on sorting, and better drying techniques have time and time again made natural sundried coffees from the Idido Cooperative our favorite—showcasing notes of strawberry, dried fruit, and bittersweet chocolate. 7. Bonta - 12 oz Bag

    Bonta - 12 oz Bag

This coffee is the result of the hard work of about two dozen small- and medium-sized family farms growing mainly Bourbon- and Typica-variety coffee in the small village of Bonta at around 1,700 meters. Small lots from these farms are processed and kept separate for us by the Colbran family—our long time partners in Papua New Guinea—to create a coffee that is savory, softly citric, and delicately tea-like. 8. Birhanu Zerihun – Natural Sundried – 12 oz box

Birhanu Zerihun – Natural Sundried – 12 oz box

    Single-Farmer Lot
While we were scouting for farmers in the community of Biloya in southern Ethiopia to start a small-grower project to produce high-quality natural sundried coffees, we came across growers in an adjacent community called Hama. In this community, we met Birhanu Zerihun who built an impressive set-up for his natural sundried coffees on his 10 hectares of land—and created a super-juicy coffee with bright notes raspberry and strawberry.
