2023 Seeds Fund Recipient

ADENISA was granted a 2023 Seeds grant to expanded their existing vermiculture infrastructure to produce sufficient organic compost for all of their producers. The group already had land and some infrastructure, so this money is a direct investment in critical inputs, equipment, training, and materials for storage and handling. With the extreme rise in cost of inputs, this project gives producers access to necessary organic fertilizers which are vital in sustaining crop yield and quality expectations.

Counter Culture Coffee collects $0.01 from every pound of coffee sold to fund our Seeds program. Annually, $1 per pound of our winter coffee blend, Iridescent, goes to further increase our contribution. Seeds offers financial grants to producers and producer organizations we work with to implement sustainability projects they identify as beneficial. To date, we’ve allocated over $450,000 to Seeds projects.
