2023 Seeds Fund Recipient
ASPROCAES received a 2023 Seeds grant to establish a coffee sensory analysis lab. Currently, coffee samples need to be driven to a nearby town for evaluation. The new cupping lab will be located in the Beneficio, the warehouse where the cooperative receives farmers coffees, and will speed up the process of purchasing coffee and providing quality feedback to growers. With the purchase of a sample roaster, grinder, and water filtration system using th Seeds grant, ASPROCAES is one step closer to completing their cupping lab!
Seeds Program
Counter Culture Coffee collects $0.01 from every pound of coffee sold to fund our Seeds program. Annually, $1 per pound of our winter coffee blend, Iridescent, goes to further increase our contribution. Seeds offers financial grants to producers and producer organizations we work with to implement sustainability projects they identify as beneficial. To date, we’ve allocated over $450,000 to Seeds projects.
