01
Single Origin | Nariño, Colombia
Borderlands
milk chocolate | almond | nectarine
Roast Level
light roast
In 2012, Catholic Relief Services launched the Borderlands project to connect coffee growers in Nariño, Colombia with the specialty market, offering farmers divided by conflict a new path to prosperity through working as a community. This collaboration unlocked the region’s quality potential and created lasting economic opportunities. The culmination of these efforts are in the cup: Sweet milk chocolate and almond flavors are balanced with a crisp citrus acidity and a nectarine-like finish.

Subscriber-Exclusive | Cusco, Peru
Incahuasi
golden raisin | vanilla | almond
Roast Level
light roast
Irrevocably linked by their Inca heritage and focus on quality coffee production, coffee-producing communities are scattered throughout the Incahuasi Valley in Peru's southern Cusco region. At elevations ranging from 1,600 to 2,400 meters above sea level, these communities are thinly connected by limited road access through the harsh Andean landscape. The resulting coffee delivers flavors reminiscent of golden raisin, vanilla, and almond.
