2025 Bloom Fund Recipient
Project Update: May 2026
Nook and Nowhere have everything in the ground, with more species being introduced later in the season. "We even have a Robin's nest in the back and they have been loving all the worms I've been digging up." - David, Nook and Nowhere

Nook and Nowhere in Louisville, Kentucky, received a BLOOM grant to plant a pollinator garden on their back patio. This will help contribute to a local initiative that increases the population of native plants in the neighborhood. With this grant, they will replace non-native plants with native Kentucky plants and pollinators. This will create a more natural landscape and will help prevent soil erosion and maintain shady tree coverage. By planting a pollinator garden, Nook and Nowhere aims to show other local businesses that it's possible to have a more sustainable, native planting scheme on their patios without losing the beauty and charm of the space.
Bloom Fund
Counter Culture Coffee collects $0.01 from every pound of coffee sold to fund our Bloom program. Annually, $1 per pound of our spring coffee blend, Perennial, goes to further increase our contribution. Bloom provides grants to support sustainability initiatives at Counter Culture Coffee partner cafes. Rooted in the belief that everyone’s path toward sustainability looks a little different, this program supports projects of all shapes and sizes our partners identify as impactful.
